'Excellent Guest House' 4/5
I normally stay in big chain hotels when staying away for work, but have had enough of them, so thought i'd try a guest house instead. I was glad i did. The Gables was great. Friendly owners and super clean modern rooms with everything you could possibly need. The breakfast was superb and a nice big room too. The only (tiny) issue i could find was that the towel radiator in the bathroom was so hot it made the bathroom more like a sauna. I like a sauna though ;-) All in all a great stay. Delightful place and friendly hosts. Had a small problem of heating in the very top bedroom but I believe they are sorting it out. Bedroom was provided with all amenities and extras. The breakfast was cooked to order along with a vast array of food to choose from. I would stay again Ms. Yvonne Mitchell 1st February

'Pleasant stay' 5/5
Everything had been thought of to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. It was not far to travel to a variety of eating places in the evening - in fact we didn't need to take the car out as places were within walking distance. We are 'country folk' so we did find some noise from the road a little disturbing but with a comfy bed it wasn't too much of a problem. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. We received a warm welcome upon arrival, everything we needed to know was clearly explained. The house was warm and spotlessly clean and attention had been paid to every detail to give guests a comfortable and luxurious stay, The bedrooms are spacious and the en suite facilities excellent. Plenty of 'extras', tea, coffee, water etc, and toiletries are laid on - you couldn't ask for more!  Mr. Kevin Price 25th January

i thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Gables - the room was warm, comfortable and very well decorated with nothing left wanting. The whole house is clean and the breakfast was hot and very nice. The Gables is by far much better than any of the chain hotels that a lot of people opt to stay in. I highly recommend The Gables for anyone visiting LIncoln or Newark. we had a lovely stay recently at the Gtables guest house. The room was immaculately clean, the breakfast was good with plenty of choice and the hosts could not help you enough. The only downside was that we could not stay longer

Excellent' 5/5 Modern and spacious bedroom, very clean en-suite facilities. Range of breakfast was great, eg: full english breakfast, or scrambled egg with smoked salmon, or kippers with poached eggs. Experienced them all and quality was excellent. 'Exceptionally clean' 5/5 A great place to stay for a local event I was attending. Very warm welcome and a spotless room. Lovely shower and unexpected to have toiletries to use in the room.
